Divergent Fitness offers a unique treatment for neurodivergent individuals, employing movement and fitness to correct the somatic errors that often cause neurodivergent behaviors and issues. With an aging website built on a non-standard platform crying out for a total overhaul, they called on West Hills Web to give them a new look.
Why Overhaul the Divergent Fitness Website?
Most Divergent Fitness clients are referred to them by existing customers and social service agencies. So, their website serves mainly as a brochure and resume for the amazing work they do, and a vehicle to enable prospective clients to complete an initial assessment appointment online. While the old site met these requirements on a minimal level, it had a look that didn’t represent the company well, with a templated design and dated images. Most of all, the overall tone didn’t capture the enthusiasm and optimism of their business. It was time for a major overhaul and upgrade.
Mike Ramirez, founder of Divergent Fitness, mentioned his interest in a new website to the parents of a high school-aged Athlete training at his gym who then referred Mike to Mark Widawer. It was clear from the first meeting that Mike and Mark connected on several levels, one being that West Hills Web’s Web Compliance Pro subsidiary serves many of the same individuals Mike does, individuals with somatic errors that cause cognitive impairment and other issues.

Divergent Fitness needed a full-service website developer, one with the ability to handle both the technical side of web development and the marketing side, including the creation of completely new content, new images, great design, and all the behind-the-scenes compliance work to protect the sensitive health and personal data of individuals training with Mike and his team.

Besides, Mike said he preferred to spend time testing and developing new treatment protocols than writing content for his website.
To illustrate the site with great photos, Mark brought in photographer Zarek Dietz, a frequent collaboration partner of West Hills Web. Zarek did an outstanding job capturing the “pure emotion” of both the student-athletes and parents who attend Divergent Fitness.
